WSN0868

WSN0868 is the wireless sensor network solution for applications where long communiction ranges, low network-complexity and installation simplicity are required.

WSN0868 is based on high-performance 868MHz Semtech XE1205 transceiver, that offers market best-in-class link budget performance (136 dBm at 1.2 kbps).

WSN0868 platform includes wireless sensors (with integrated or external temperature sensors) and wireless devices for interfacing the wireless network with PCs or remote systems.

Wireless sensors

WaveComm actively collaborates with Department of Information Engineering of the University of Siena, on research projects involving wireless sensor networks technology.
Several applications based on Wavecomm platforms Wavemote (operating in the 2.4 GHz band) and WSN0868 (868 MHz) has been developed, where specific low-power custom sensor boards has been successfully implemented.
For instance, the Wavemote platform has been used in the framework of STArT project, funded by Regione Toscana, for realizing a wireless sensor network for environmental and structural monitoring in the city of San Gimignano.
