Research and development
WaveComm is actively involved in research and development activities, especially focused on RFID and wireless sensor networks technologies, for safety and security, transportation and mobility, logistics, environmental monitoring. In the following a short list of projects:
- NEMO - Navigation, Environment and MObility (2005): regional network of excellence in the fields of mobility and environmental monitoring.
- M.ID.A. (2006): development of RFID solutions, based on both HF and UHF technologies, for automatic asset identification in production and supply-chain management.
- TechNet L&M (2007): regional network of excellence, including SMEs, research institutions and local governments focused on logistics, mobility and ITS.
- Osmosys (2008): Virtual Enterprise (VE), funded by a team of innovative SMEs, for realizing a technological platform for Intelligent Transportation Systems.
- S&SSION - Safety and Security System In Open Network (2008): regional network of excellence focused on safety and securuty technologies and environmental monitoring solutions.
- WAVEPASS (2008/2009): development of a system for EVI (Electronic Vehicle Identification) applications, based on RFID-UHF technology.
- SMART (2009): development of an innovative solution for ATMS (Advanced Traffic Management Systems) and parking lots monitoring, base on low-power wireless sensor networks.
